DIE BLECHTROMMEL
Synopsis
A film based on " The Tin Drum" had to be a fresco, world history seen from and lived on the bottom rung: enormous spectacular painting gathered together by the tiny Oscar. For me, this character portrays to typically contemporary qualities: rejection and protest. This ever-present revolt of the child against the grown up world. Oscar is also "The Kid"
