Almodóvar and Cannes: a wonderful relationship

the 31.01.2017 at 6:30 AM - Updated on 31.01.2017 at 9:29 AM

In 1992, Pedro Almodóvar climbed the red stairs of the Festival de Cannes as a member of the Feature Film Jury, presided by Gérard Depardieu. It marked the beginning of a wonderful relationship, which would see him return to present six films, winning a Best Screenplay Award, a Best Collective Performance Award for his actresses and a Best Director Award. In 2017, Almódovar will himself preside the Jury for the 70th Festival.

A look back in pictures at these many visits to Cannes.
