Find out in this section all the awards of this year's Festival, details on the winning films and directors, as well as the closing ceremony and the Jury and the prize-winners' press conferences.
- The Competition: at the end of the Competition, the official Jury determines the prizes for the films in Competition, and hands them out during the Closing Ceremony with the followings: the Palme d'Or, the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, the Best Director Award, the Best Screenplay Award, the Best Actress Award, the Best Actor Award, the short film Palme d'Or and the Caméra d'Or Prize, awarded by the President of this particular jury.
- Un Certain Regard: the Un Certain Regard prize awards young talent and encourages innovative and audacious works by presenting one of the films with a grant to aid its distribution in France.
- The Cinéfondation: Since 1998, the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury has given prizes to the three best film school entries selected by the Cinéfondation, during an official ceremony. They help prize winners finance their next film project, and the first place winner is awarded the honor of presenting his or her first feature at the Festival itself.
- The Caméra d'or Prize: presented during the Festival's closing ceremony, it is an award for the best first feature presented in one of the Cannes' selections (Official Selection, Director's Fortnight or International Critic's Week). Winning the Caméra d'Or highlights the importance and achievement of a director’s feature film debut – strongly encouraging him to undertake a second.
