To do justice to this anniversary year, we decided to organise not one, but three workshops. Alongside Alexandre Desplat’s music lesson and Philip Kaufman’s cinema workshop, Norman Lloyd will be giving a history lesson this Thursday.
Norman Lloyd is an actor, producer and director who started out in Hollywood playing a supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock’s Saboteur (1942), a film in which he falls from the top of the Statue of Liberty.
The fall didn’t stop him enjoying a long career. Today, at 97 years of age, he enjoys sharing his personal, illustrated take on the history of American cinema.
Norman Lloyd will be giving his history lesson at 5 pm on Thursday 24 May, in the Buñuel Theatre.
