Alec Baldwin presented the Best Actress Award to Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan, who were both very moved, for Beyond the Hills, by Cristian Mungiu. Cristina Flutur thanked "everyone who was part of making this film with passion and Cristian Mungiu for his masterful direction." Cristina Flutur joined in, with her words to her director: "I agree, we owe so much to you."
