Synopsis

The journey made by a Russian intellectual in Italy becomes the occasion for reflection in the search for something that maybe does not even exist. " Nostalghia " is a word that has, in the original Russian a profound sense which is lost in translation. It signifies at once the feeling of affection he has for his native country and the melancholy he also feels for this distant land. This film is concerned with the perception of the Absolute and its inaccessibility.
